African Safari Chirstmas Party

It's cold here! Yey. I've been in 70 degree weather until today and yesterday and i have to say i have welcomed the cold. I am currently waiting to hang out with friends and thought I would stop in to say hello to all you out there on your computers.

The other night I went to a Christmas party that nearly tops all the other Christmas parties I've ever been to. Not only was there a table full of food catered in from heaven, friends and family, but the night was complete with a Benson stlye African Safari. First of all, let me tell you about the The Benson's. They are a are well-to-do, fun, loving, giving family here in Springfield. Katherine, their daughter, has been a roomate and close friend of mine for 4 years now. She along with her parents have traveled various times to Afica for hunting and other family vacation experiences. Well, their love for Africa has made it to their living room with the following:
- 6 stuffed HUGE antelope mounted on the wall
- 1 table top antelope head (who lovingly or frightening -not sure which - looks at you while you walk down the stairs)
- 1 zebra skin rug complete with brissly zebra hair
- 1 full-sized stuffed LION in action pawing at its' next baby antelope prey.
Then there is the 3 leather couches w/ real zebra and lion hair pillows to make the safari complete.
I had a hard time at first eating my hummus and crab dip but then after awhile the antelope faces became less frightening and more welcoming.
Not sure why the dead game has made it so often to my blog lately...Hum.
