I'm Singing And Laughing In The Rain

I watched "Singing in the Rain" tonight, which happens to be my favortie musical. I have to say there isn't anything cooler than watching Gene Kelly dance. (His twirls are amazing) Musicals are so weird, and yet somehow they have some sort of charming value. Most musicals have these corny moments where something inside of us just wants to leave the room because it isn't possible to take it any more. Too cheeseball. Too fake. Too many twirls. It's so interesting how all the sudden - midconversation - someone just chrips up and breaks into song. I've heard people say they wish life were more like a musical. But what if life actually was more like that? What if heaven was one big happy musical? And what if we all walked around singing our conversations? I've tried it before, it didn't go over well. Oh dear, I'm taking this too far...

If someone today hugged a lightpole like that we would think he was on something. But you have to admire that pearly smile of his don't cha?
What's your favorite musical?

I'm sad to say that I haven't watched many musicals...but I have been in quite a few in school.
I would have to say Mary Poppins or the Wizard of OZ if they count as musicals. If not you can shoot me down and call me dumb.

Hahaha, awesome insight to this musical thing, Jenn! My fave musical would be The Sound of Music.. I also love all the other ones though like Singin in the Rain, State Fair... classics!

hi winnie. i am at kaldis drinking up an americano with cream and sugar. The girl taking my money wouldn't take my punch-card b/c she didn't believe me that I had already paid when I handed the girl the 10th punch last time. i was sad. i don't like being called a liar, but i am too tired to care.
I WANT TO BE IN MY OWN HOUSE NOW, its official! And we've started taking in scragglers---my employee Angela, and her hubby. They'll be livin' it up in the Seifert household prolly for a while. hooray! (not really, but I love Jesus so I love people... or try).
Anyway, i am going to read some much needed Bible. Have you kept praying for me?
Love you.

jen! Singing in the Rain is my favorite too! I think I know every single word, and I definetly have all the songs memorized. We have to watch it sometime, its just so happy. Except that one boring slow song when she stands on the ladder. snooze. Moses Supposes is by far the best song ever written for tapdancers. By the way, why isn't tapdancing cool anymore?
