International

Lately I have had the opportunity of meeting some amazing new people. All from different countries and all really neat in their own ways. While in Canada I was amazed by the Asian culture and the excellence they carry as a people. So kind and so diligent. As the trip came to an end and as I arrived home to ZHOP I was slightly sad to be back in a way. I think I wanted to stay in the exprience of another culture. Yeah Canada is in the Americas but it has a flavor all of it's own. Then when I came into my room to unpack and settle in I realized that there were visitors in my house... They were a group from Italy that came to check out the house of prayer.
I spent two days getting to know them a little bit - exchanging some English for some Italian (which by the way happens to be the most beautiful language on the planet), drinking some Italian coffee, listening to them speak really fast with a curious look on my face, playing a set with them, laughing and talking. I felt a real connection with them just like a lot of people at ZHOP had. It was great to have them with us.
I feel so blessed to know so many people from different countries: India, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Canada, England, etc, etc. I think ZHOP is becoming more and more international and I must say I feel blessed to be a part of a place that welcomes so many in.
