It is so interesting to take some time and re-read things that you have written. I like to look back and marvel at all the changes that have taken place and the ways that God brought me from point A to point B.
So, if you keep a journal, dust off the old ones and randomly pick a couple of dates to read. It will be intriguing i promise.
Below is one of my blog posts from almost a year ago. There are really no huge indicators of anything different, but yet I remember how at the time my thinking was different as well as my struggles. Tonight as I'm dealing with a swirl of emotions brought on by change, it's nice to remember that God hold's our futures and changes our seasons for us. It's nice to think right now that nothing in my life has been exactly what I planned it to be...but it's all better than I could have dreamt up.

West Virginia and Christmas shopping
So does anyone know what West Virginia is like? This weekend I'm going with a 7thunders team there and have never been. I've heard...and this is not really meant to be negative or positive...that West Virginia is sorta like the East Coast's Arkansas.
I went Christmas shopping this past Sunday. There's nothing like rubbing elbows with strangers all day while searching for presents. Every year I try to avoid the mall at all costs but it seems year after year I return for someone on my list. And thus, another year of shopping came and I went to the mall. The mall at Christmas time is like sensory overload. Full of people first of all. Mean people. People desperate to sell things. People in a hurry. People taking their time. Young people. Old people. All kinds of people. Secondly, it's full of Christmas junk that clogs the senses. Christmas music. Christmas trees. Christmas ornaments. Christmas Santa's. Christmas outfits (you know grandma's with light up trees on their sweaters and bells on their sneakers). And of course, Christmas presents - everywhere.
